Vampirella 1 cover sketchesby *J-Scott-Campbell

My original layout sketch for the recently solicited "Vampirella #1" cover from Dynamite Entertainment, shown here it two different directions: The 1st one, which was the one eventually used, and the 2nd, which depicted a more aggressive tone with the limbs of many faceless "zombies" tugging and grabbing at her. The best one was probably chosen.

*Incase you're curious, the "girl" in both of these were the "same" drawing, just scanned in at two different intervals.

Original done in pencil and drawn very tiny at about 1.5x3"

mm, I'd say the second one would have been a better choice. the first one is perfectly fine but, in the end it is just like 100 other Vampirella covers
